Miami-Dade County recently passed a law that will enable workers--even immigrant workers--to bring action against employers who don't pay them properly. The Miami Herald supports the move in an editorial run last week..
The law, similar to one in San Francisco and ones being considered in Los Angeles and New Orleans, was pushed for by the Florida Immigration Coalition, a group comprised of labor and immigrant advocacy groups.
